Music Prize goes to Peter Gülke
The international Ernst von Siemens Music Prize of 2014 goes to Peter Gülke. The German musicologist and conductor receives the 250,000 Euro award for a life in the service of
music.
Composers' Prize Winners
The three composer grants-in-aid of the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation 2014 go to the Catalan composer Luis Codera Puzo, the Italian Simone Movio and Brigitta Muntendorf from Germany.
This distinction is awarded to very promising young composers and comes with a cash prize of 35,000 Euros, as well as a portrait CD produced according to the winner’s own specifications.

On these CDs you can hear Klangforum Wien, musikFabrik Köln and Ensemble Modern, among others.

The CDs will be released in autumn, together with the one from last year's award winner Samy Moussa.
