Digital Booklet - only with album
Swinging and sonically rich yodelers, catchy song structures, polkas, waltzes, and, time and again, the landler, attain a special intensity in arrangements for vocal trios and quartets, for parlor as well as dance music settings. Male and female voices, the harp, dulcimer, zither, accordion, ocarina, and the violins of the Schwendberger Hochzeitsmusik represent the sonic diversity of Alpine music. And because the present CD is an homage to Herma Haselsteiner, we, once and again, encounter her instrument, the Mädlchor Wörgl, conducted by the founder herself.

In order to fully reveal the immediacy of the music on these tracks, Gustav Kuhn animates the succession of songs and pieces by using refrain-like collages of sound resembling the tuning of an orchestra, in which a yodeler and the voices of girls overlap and mesh with the drive of the well-oiled musical machine consisting of Zillertaler dancing fiddlers and with bawdy mocking songs.

Recommendation
Franui transfer the essential spirit of Schubert to the 21st century: "Music to make your knees weaken," praised the Berliner Zeitung.
Dance music from high-alpine regions and from the low plains, music located somewhere between Schubert, Bartok and a Young Farmers’Ball in East Tyrol.
This album about boredom takes the Musicbanda Franui, accompanied by actor Peter Simonischek, away from their daily routine, back to the days of their childhood, and straight on to the graveyard.
